Are there any He-Man Books? He-Man Masters of The Universe Books 1980s

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe started as a toy line with comic book storylines for the characters that came with the toys.

Then of course that turned into the fantastic Filmation cartoon series on television.

Are there any He-Man novels?

There have been graphic novels made about He-Man and the characters recently like this series available on Amazon.

He-Man Books from the 1980s

During the time of the He-Man cartoon series, there were books made about the characters of the show.

I want to take a look at some of those books from that time.

The Masters of the Universe book series is a collection of tie-in books for the Masters of the Universe franchises started in 1981 for young readers.

While riding Battle Cat near Castle Grayskull, He-Man stops to get his companion a drink from a nearby well. While Battle Cat drinks, He-Man hears the sounds of swords ringing against each other and climbs down to investigate. He discovers a network of caverns at the bottom of the well and is suddenly attacked by Mer-Man. He-Man manages to knock him out and enters the caverns, reasoning Skeletor can't be far away.

What is He-Man's real name?

Prince Adam of Eternia

In more than a few comic books and animated series He-Man's (and She Ra's) origins had been revised: his true identity was Prince Adam of Eternia, son of King Randor and Queen Marlena, who gave birth to twins Prince Adam/He-Man and Princess Adora/She Ra.

Why is Skeletor blue?

It's never really explained. It is probably just a design thing from when they made the toys.

He is typically depicted as a blue-skinned humanoid who wears a purple hood over his bare-bone skull. Skeletor is determined to gain the powers of Castle Grayskull and rule the universe; however, the incompetence of his henchmen is always an impediment to achieving his ambitions.
