Just Shipped! A Look at the Vintage Toys, Games, and Pop Culture Finds That Sold This Weekend

Hey everyone! I'm getting ready to pack up and ship some of the latest vintage toys, games, books, and other vintage items that sold over the weekend from my online vintage pop culture store. I wanted to share a look at the cool items heading out today.

1. Sesame Street Christmas Ornaments

First up is a set of Sesame Street Christmas ornaments, which I believe are from the '90s. They are still really neat looking and are in really good condition, featuring great versions of the characters, including Cookie Monster, Ernie, and Bert. When I first acquired these two years ago, I was initially selling them separately, but they finally sold today as a complete set.

2. ALF Coloring Book (1987)

From the coloring book section, this ALF coloring book dates back to 1987. While I love finding coloring books, they often have a common problem: something is colored in. However, the person who colored this one really wanted to be an artist cuz they did a fantastic job with the shading and everything! The coloring book is based on the TV show ALF (an alien life form from the planet Melmac), but the illustrations are drawn like the cartoon that followed the show.

Vintage Artwork and Books

I often pick up vintage items just for the incredible artwork:

3. "At the Beach" Frame Tray Puzzle

This is a vintage frame tray puzzle from PlaySkool. I collect a lot of frame tray puzzles because they just have really cool artwork. I often pick them up because the drawings are unique and showcase characters or styles you can't see anywhere else; honestly, I just want to hang them up! This specific one features people frolicking at a beach, likely in the 1950s.

4. My Little Green Story Book (1961)

This strange vintage book from 1961, My Little Green Story Book, I have found a few times. It is literally a school book for young readers. It features extremely simple, short sentences with large words. And of course, it has fantastic artwork.

5. Five Little Bears (1955)

From 1955, this is Five Little Bears (not the Three Little Bears). This book is about a mama bear raising five little bears. The story involves the bears painting themselves white, going out to the zoo, and eventually trying to wash the paint off.

Dolls and Classic Board Games

6. Vintage Douglas Cuddle Doll

I believe this one I have is from the 1950s; there's no actual date on this one. Douglas is a company that is still operating today, though some of their newer dolls are "beanie sort of dolls". These cuddle dolls feature a sculpted head (this one is detailed with pulled-up hair) and a soft felt body that is designed for cuddling, like the name says.

7. Sergeant Preston Game (1956)

One more thing from the game collection is the Sergeant Preston Game from 1956. This is based on the character Sergeant Preston of the Yukon, which I remember discovering as an old-time radio show. Made by Milton Bradley, the game is visually stunning. The cover looks like a Pulp Magazine cover.

I love collecting these older game boards because they also feature cool artwork. The game board shows details like log cabins, igloos, and mountains in the Yukon. The game features a spinner wheel and even includes "wanted cards" showing wanted posters of the criminals and cards for contacts you meet in the field, all with detailed drawings.

That covers all the items that I have to ship off today that I sold from my vintage pop culture store! If you enjoyed this video, please subscribe, and I'll be posting more of these! You can also check out my online store.
